The Hillsdene Chapel is a purpose built funeral home and chapel. The name Hillsdene comes from the early days of the Hillsdene area of Tauranga and is located at 143 Thirteenth Avenue.


Built in 1980 with the vision of funerals being held in facilities that catered for all client families whether religious, non-religious, agnostic, and of differing cultural backgrounds. The chapel has a seating capacity of 130 with provision for an overflow and an adjoining reception lounge for refreshments following the service. It has a state of the art medium system allowing DVD, MP3, Data projection and other communication options.
The administration office, casket display area and preparation room are all provided at this venue.
The name is derived from its location in Mount Maunganui and it’s proximity to the Port and the harbour. Situated at 416 Maunganui Road, the building has been a local landmark for many years, previously known as Pearce Motors and now Mount Harbour Chapel since 1996.
The chapel easily seats 230 people with overflow for another 100. There is ample parking onsite and surrounding environs. Reception facilities for after funeral refreshments can be provided.


A monumental showroom allows families to peruse memorials at their leisure.
Located on SH2 between No.3 Road and Quarry Road Te Puke. This venue is the hub of Strong Memorials a subsidiary of Jones and Company. There is a lounge and private viewing lounge for families and monumental showroom for a large range of memorials.



Funerals of limited numbers can be held here with other venues close by for refreshments.
